De CRI index, lumen per watt verhouding en powerfactor van led verlichting biedt een goede indicatie van de kwaliteit. Veel bedrijven investeren niet alleen in led verlichting om hun werklicht te verbeteren, maar ook om hun bedrijf te verduurzamen omdat ze maatschappelijk verantwoord ondernemen belangrijk vinden. Het is bekend dat led verlichting over de levensduur afneemt in lichtsterkte, wel bestaan hier verschillen in. De afname van lichtsterkte van led verlichting wordt aangeduid middels de LBC-normering. Hoe langer een led product meegaat, hoe duurzamer de investering zal zijn.
Wat betekent LBC-Normering ?
De LBC-normering is opgebouwd uit drie waardes. Namelijk de L waarde, de B waarde en de C waarde. De L waarde geeft aan hoeveel procent lichtafname er zal zijn over de levensduur. De B waarde geeft de levensduur van de lichtbron aan. Over de levensduur zal een klein percentage van de diodes die verwerkt zijn in de lichtbron uitvallen. Het percentage diodes dat zal uitvallen over de levensduur wordt aangeduid door de C waarde.
Hoe werkt de LBC-normering ?
U heeft een lichtbron met een levensduur van 50.000 branduren en aan het einde van deze levensduur is de lichtopbrengst nog 80%. In dat geval is de LB-normering van dit product L80B50. Aan de C waarde wordt nog volop gewerkt, in Duitsland ligt de normering hoger. Stel dat de lichtbron met de LB-normering van L70B50 over de 50.000 branduren 2% uitvalspercentage van diodes heeft. Dan is de LBC-normering L70B50C2. Hoe hoger de waarde van de L en lager de C waarde zijn, hoe lager de lichtuitval over de levensduur is. Hoe hoger de B waarde, des te meer branduren de lamp geschat meegaat.
Handige onderhoudsprognose
De LBC-Normering biedt lichtadviseurs handvatten om het onderhoud aan de led installatie beter in te schatten. Zo heeft u als eindgebruiker de zekerheid dat uw verlichting na bijvoorbeeld 10 tot 15 jaar nog steeds aan het gewenste werklicht voldoet.
